Flying with Gord

This is about a trip, albeit a short one, in fact, less than a couple of hours. I’m including it because I like some of the pictures.

Sometimes I fly with my friend Gord. Here we are at Toronto Island Airport about to take off in a Cessna.

I’m always impressed by the instrumentation, even on a small aircraft.

Gord likes to make me feel that I’m really flying.

As though in a tiny plane with a paper-thin fuselage, I don’t already know I’m airborne.

As do all pilots, Gord has to regularly put in a certain amount of hours. Sometimes we head off to a country airport north of the city, stuff ourselves with an all-day breakfast, look at other planes and then return to Toronto. Here’s one we found.

For any enthusiasts, here’s its name.

However, this day, we headed to Niagara.

U.S. and the American falls are on the left; the Canadian Horseshoe falls are at the top.

Canada to the left and the States to the right as we do a series of tight turns.

Homeward bound.
